My Dog Chico
I must have been about 5 or 6 years old when I had a dream about a dos my family had who was named Chico. He was a white Chihuahua that we kept outside near the laundry machines.
I remember this clearly because it scared me so much that I woke up screaming and running out of my room to my mom to tell her that Chico had died.
This is the dream; I saw that I had woke up in the morning to go outside and see Chico. To me it looked as if he was still sleeping, so I called out his name, but he didn't respond. So I called again, but he didn't respond. I remember a feeling of fear and sorrow come over me as I ran down the stairs to wake him, but he wouldn't wake up, so I shook him, and nothing happened. I remember crying in my dream then I woke up.
I ran into the living room to screaming that Chico was dead, Chico died! But my mom comforted me and took me outside to show me Chico. She called his name as he lay there and he raised his head. I felt much better and went to back to sleep. The next morning I woke up and went outside to see Chico. He was laying beside the washing machine, so I called his name, but he did not respond, so I called again, but he did not respond! I could feel that familiar sorrow and fear from the dream I just had as I walked down the stairs. But when I touched him, he was still. He had died that night after I went back to sleep.

My Grandfather; Frank Quinones
Me grandfather; Frank Quinones, had been diagnosed with stomach cancer and was at his home in Kilauaea, Kauai being tended to by a hospice program. I remember that I so wanted to go see him before he passed away, but because of my business, family, and other responsibilities, was unable to leave yet. I remember that it was at the beginning of the week and I had finally made plans to go see him that following weekend.
I had found out that everyone in my family had already gone to see him but me so I was going alone. That night I had a dream.
This is my dream; I was walking through a field cover with green grass and beautiful flowers every where. I remember wondering where this place was because it was very unfamiliar to me and the people I saw enjoying the sunlight of the day, I knew no one. Suddenly I saw a man approaching me, the light shined from behind him so I could not see his face until he was close to me.
Then it struck me that I knew who this was, it was my grandpa!! He was walking towards me, smiling, strong, and healthy! I was so happy to see him because I was planning to see him in a few days! He did not say one word to me, he just smiled and stood beside me as we looked around. Then I saw a familiar figure standing not to far away from us. He was watching us and I remember wondering where I had seen this man before. Then it hit me, he looked just like the man that I have had so many dreams and vision about before this moment, it was Jesus!

I looked and my grandfather and he looked at me and smiled, and I smiled back then I hugged him and he said that he loved me and I said I loved him back then I let him go and I woke up!

Immediately when I woke that morning I told my husband that I had to leave now to see my grandfather because he was going to die soon! I called and made arrangements for a flight and started packing my bag! When all of a sudden I received a call in the middle of packing. It was my sister Carlin. She had called to tell me that my grandfather had passed away that morning.

A Family Friend; Mrs. Kobashigawa
Mrs. Kobashigawa was a very nice woman. She used to work with my mom at Kaiser Maile Clinic and from the time that I was a child I always saw her there. then for a time I did not see her and my mother shared that she had ovarian cancer. I really had no connection with her except through my mothers work, so there was no reason for me to think about her. But one night I had a dream.
This is my dream; In this dream I am walking through a small town, very old in style. Cobble stone path, no cars, just people walking. As I walked I noticed that I to the middle of the town square because right in the middle of this whole little town was a tree. This tree looked like it was very well taken care of. It had a stone wall built around it and the ground came up to the edge of that wall making it easy for people to sit under the tree to rest. That is when I saw a woman sitting on the stone wall and crying.
I walked up to her to find out why she was crying. I asked her is she was alright and if I could do anything for her. She looked up at me and I knew that I knew her but could not place the face anywhere in my memories. I sat beside her and she started to talk to me. As she cried she kept repeating, "I am so tired, I am so tired!" Then I started to say, "It is only a short way to go, you will can do it! And as I spoke I started to hear music softly playing around us. I told her that they were coming and that she would be alright. Suddenly I saw 2 women walking up to us. Both were wearing what looked like an oriental robe. It was all white and had a gold sash that crossed their left shoulder to there right hip. I then noticed that she was wearing the same clothing.
I then noticed what the 2 woman looked like. The first had very, very long hair, it was all white and went as long as her knees. The second woman had long hair also but only up to her waist and not all white, but pepper, more white then black. They stopped, looked at both of us an continued to walk. I told her that it was time and that it would be alright, she would be just fine. She looked at me, smiled, then got up and started to walk towards the other 2 women who had now stopped to wait for her. And when she caught up with them I noticed that she was wearing the same outfit that they were and that as they walked down this street the stones were now gold in color and that they were walking a foot off the ground, walking in mid-air. Then I woke up.
This dream troubled me because I could not place the face, yet I knew I knew her. So I decided to go visit my mother. But on the way I stopped at my mother-in-laws house for a moment to share this dream because of the garments that they were wearing. As I walked into her home and sat down, I had not even started to share my dream when she told me that Mrs. Kobashigawa had passed away that morning. When she said that to me, not knowing my dream or my relationship with this woman, I saw it clearly; that woman I saw in my dream was Mrs. Kobashigawa.
